Dudson museum comes to life
The specialists have already featured in a film chronicling pottery industry techniques, and now they are preparing to entertain visitors from across the country and overseas at the Dudson Museum in Hanley.
Veteran potter Mike Pepper produced the From Our Hands DVD, which was released in December. Now he has assembled the stars for a live performance.
The 70-year-old, from Suffolk Close, Clayton, said: "I spoke to the BCB organisers about it and they liked the idea.
"The people on the film are going to be demonstrating their skills – everything from throwing a pot onwards.
"My aim is to show that the industry hasn't disappeared, even if some of the big names are shrinking."
The free event takes place as part of a BCB open weekend on October 17 and 18 at the Dudson Museum in Hope Street, Hanley.
Pictured at the Dudson Museum are Mr Pepper and curator Alison Morgan.
The BCB takes place across Stoke-on-Trent between October 3 and December 13.
